bringing small pieces together

For the paperback version of David Weinberger’s influential book Small Pieces Loosely Joined: A Unified Theory of the Web, Visual Dialogue used the web sites Weinberger references as the basis for the cover design. The pixelated title type is made up of small details showing each and every one of the web sites mentioned in the book (see details at right). The way these seemingly disparate elements come together to form the type reflects the author’s unique commentary on the web and the “small pieces” of the title.
